
Berlin, Germany, April 24 (CNA) An exhibition on Taiwan's insects that officially opened in a major island resort area in Germany Saturday has drawn local media coverage and attracted many visitors
in the area for the Easter holiday.
The exhibition, which runs until October 31, is being held on the 5,000 square-meter Schmetterlings Farm -- the largest butterfly farm in Europe -- on the Isle of Usedom, according to the Taipei
Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Hamburg.
The specimens on display include crickets, cicadas and locusts that can make sounds, said Chen Ke-min, the head of the TECO's press office.
A display board with interactive games in German was also exhibited to showcase information about insect biodiversity in Taiwan.
Sabine Steinke, who is in charge of the farm, said he planned to buy the display board designed by Taiwan's National Museum of Natural Science, and he hoped the exhibition could be
